A human cell type similar to murine central nervous system perivascular fibroblasts

چکیده

The brain vasculature has several specific features, one of them being the blood-brain barrier (BBB), which supports and protects by allowing for passage oxygen nutrients, while at same time preventing pathogens toxins. BBB also prevents efficient delivery drugs to brain, e.g. treatment tumors. In murine perivascular fibroblasts were recently identified as a novel potential constituent BBB. Here we present existence human cells that could be equivalent fibroblasts. Using RNA sequencing, show similar transcriptomic profile cultured These data open up window new hypotheses on cell types involved in CNS diseases.

P77: NADPH Oxidase Type 4 Inhibits Immune Cell Trafficking into The Central Nervous System During Neuroinflammation

Transendothelial trafficking of immune cells into the central nervous system (CNS) and disruption of the blood brain barrier (BBB) are pathophysiological hallmarks of neuroinflammatory disorders like multiple sclerosis (MS). Accumulating evidence suggest that oxidative stress plays a major role in the pathogenesis of MS, whereas a specific influence of oxidative stress on BBB dysfunction in MS ...

HYPERVITAMINOSIS A-INDUCED CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DEFECTS

In this investigation the effects of excess vitamin A administration during the early embryonic period were studied. Intramuscular injection of a single dose of 15000,20000 or 25000 IU/kg vitamin A to pregnant Balb/c strain mice on either day 7,8,9 or 10 of gestation (vaginal plug= day 0 of gestation) produced major malformations in the central nervous system (CNS) including exencephaly, h...

Impurity of Stem Cell Graft by Murine Embryonic Fibroblasts – Implications for Cell-Based Therapy of the Central Nervous System

Stem cells have been demonstrated to possess a therapeutic potential in experimental models of various central nervous system disorders, including stroke. The types of implanted cells appear to play a crucial role. Previously, groups of the stem cell network NRW implemented a feeder-based cell line within the scope of their projects, examining the implantation of stem cells after ischemic strok...

P-130: Piwil2 Reprograms Human Fibroblasts to Germ Cell Lineage

Background The piwi family genes are highly conserved during evolution and play a crucial role in stem cell self-renewal, gametogenesis, and RNA interference in diverse organisms ranging from Arabidopsis to humans. Piwil2, also known as Hili, is one of the four human homologues of piwi. Piwil2 was found in germ cells of adult testis, suggesting that this gene functions in spermatogonial stem ce...

Kinesin family in murine central nervous system

In neuronal axons, various kinds of membranous components are transported along microtubules bidirectionally. However, only two kinds of mechanochemical motor proteins, kinesin and brain dynein, had been identified as transporters of membranous organelles in mammalian neurons. Recently, a series of genes that encode proteins closely related to kinesin heavy chain were identified in several orga...
